Diabetes is one of the most common illnesses. Almost everyone knows of someone who has diabetes. It is estimated that around 18.3 million people in the United States, which is 6.5% of the population who have diabetes. If left undetected and untreated it can be life threatening and a lifelong condition.
Out of those who 14 millions people who have been diagnosed, about 5.5 million have not yet been diagnosed. Further, each year about 1.5 million people ages 20 and older are diagnosed with diabetes.
Types of Diabetes
Although there are no sure treatments available to fully allow diabetics to fully recover from diabetes, but there are different treatments available that aims at keeping the blood glucose near normal levels.
Recently a study was carried out by various universities of United States and the U.S. Department of Agriculture on a cure to help to prevent and combat diabetes. By accident, researchers found that just half a teaspoon of cinnamon into the daily diet of a diabetics can significantly reduce blood sugar levels. To read more on this article:
